Senior Graphic Designer

We are currently seeking a motivated individual to do high-impact graphic design and production for The Century Foundation, a public policy think tank that has advanced  progressive public policy for over a century. They will implement TCF's visual brand, lead creative projects, and, in doing so, deepen engagement with key target audiences.

Reporting to the director of production, the senior graphic designer will develop content for TCF's public-facing platforms, making sure our high-impact research is supported with clean, dynamic visuals and branding. The designer will also provide support to TCF's start-up think tank, Next100, and its team of policy entrepreneurs. 

Duties:

  • Lead and design branded content for TCF.org, events, social media, email outreach, development, and marketing?as well as online content and printed material
  • Provide creative input and ideas to TCF's teams, and then turn those ideas, through effective project management, into reality, helping to maximize the effectiveness of TCF's cause-based work
  • Review/troubleshoot email, and social media graphics to ensure all work is properly sized and rendering correctly
  • Help produce content on TCF.org, such as inputting copy, selecting or creating imagery, coordinating design assets, and updating pages
  • Oversee changes to all design and production pieces, ensuring that images are accurate and that copy edits are made properly so that correct content is maintained 
  • Ensure final creative-related deliverables are completed on schedule
  • Assist with/and or create interactive data visualizations to support TCF's research, and edit video and audio content for publication
  • Collaborate with communications, editorial, and policy teams on new and creative solutions to further the work and mission of TCF
  • Additional duties as required

Requirements:

  • Three to five years minimum of graphic design experience in a professional context
  • Experience in digital production within Wordpress, HTML, and CSS
  • Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustration, and InDesign
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail 
  • Video, audio editing, photography and data visualization skills a plus
  • A commitment to TCF's values and ideals

Professional Requirements

  • A portfolio of diverse motion graphics and animation projects that demonstrate proven creative expertise
  • 2+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Strong understanding of design fundamentals - including typography, layout, color and the ability to clearly communicate those ideas through motion graphics and animation
  • Expert in Adobe Creative Suite, including After Effects, Premiere, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
    • Ideally including AE plugins (Particular, Form, Newton, Plexus)
