Magento 2 Extension/Module: Pop-up Modal when Visitor Comes from Specific Referrers - Upwork Posted: 15 Jul 2022 03:14 PM PDT I need a Magento 2 extension or module that will trigger a pop-up modal window when a visitor comes from specific referrers. Purpose of this solution: A visitor will search for something in Google or one of the other search engines (PPC and Organic). The search engines will display the results, and in many cases they will display a "similar" product, not "exact". When the customer clicks through the product ad or organic result, they arrive on the product detail page. Many times the visitor will not verify compatibility of the product the search engine recommended. They buy the item and later need to return it since it was the wrong item. We want the modal to appear when the visitor clicks through from say a Google Shopping Ad (Referrer: Google/CPC) which displays a message to the visitor to verify compatibility of the product and product return limitations. Features (required): - Referrer list must be easily edited by store admins. Text file via FTP is alright, but prefer simple interface from within Magento admin. - Referrer Keyword (Variable) insertion in the modal messaging. We want to be able to have the message dynamically insert the Referrer name in the modal text. For example: Keyword Tag -- "It looks like you found us on [[referrer]]. Please be aware... " Final Text -- "It looks like you found us on Google. Please be aware... " *** This is not an absolute requirement, it would be nice. *** - Messaging that appears in the Modal should be an editable BLOCK from within the Magento admin. - There will be Many Referrers to One Modal Message. - Once visitor dismisses the modal, it shouldn't re-appear until their next visit to the website assuming they have come from one of the referrers on the new visit. - We are using the Porto theme. - Re-use built-in modal window functionality from Porto theme or native Magento (where applicable). I prefer to reduce adding any extra code, including JavaScript if possible. It must be compatible with Magento 2.4.3 and later. I only put a budget amount in because I'm required to. The ideal candidate will be able to collaborate with the management team to create a strategy to increase site traffic and sales. The candidate will be able to create KPI's and provide regular feedback on performance and adjustments being made to address lagging areas or improve on current results.
