As the Strategic Account Manager (SAM), you’ll be responsible for the smooth, effective planning and implementation of all the moving pieces of a digital marketing campaign.

In a nutshell, the SAM is responsible for the entire lifecycle of client relationship management:

As a SAM, you’ll oversee all tactics needed to develop and cultivate long-term customer relationships with B2B and B2C clients.

Job Responsibilities

Developing and executing short-and long-term multi-channel campaigns to drive leads and the sales pipeline
Leading A/B testing strategies and execution across all channels
Monitoring and optimizing campaigns and programs
Developing customer personas and knowing their buying preferences
Knowing the client’s brand and products inside and out
Assisting in content development to target consumers throughout the customer lifecycle
Working within a team of digital marketing professionals and collaborating with other departments, like sales and content, to develop and enhance strategies
Identifying new markets and advertising tactics to encourage business growth

Qualifications

Digital marketing experience is a must.

But you also need to have the right mix of social and soft skills because you’ll be in charge of navigating and controlling client interactions and expectations with the work you and the team create.

3+ years of working experience as an Account Manager
3+ years experience in marketing and/or agency environment
3+ years of experience with SEO/SEM, Marketing Automation, and CRM software
2+ years of experience with Google Adwords campaigns
2+ years of experience in customer service
A self-confident, extroverted style that can enliven, engage, and positively impact individuals and groups is essential.
In-depth knowledge of online marketing tools and technology
Excellent understanding and knowledge of social media platforms
Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company’s success
An understanding of inbound and outbound marketing tactics and digital marketing channels
